Scaling Agile: Aligning Business Value with Every Level
Agile is not a new concept anymore. It has received acceptance in project execution for many organizations. But this this it is imperative that organizations look to implement Agile philosophies at the strategy level. Leadership must now learn to harness the power of their Agile teams to drive their vision by delivering the right products, at the right time.
At Coffee Talk Bangalore, this time, we try to explore some such concepts and techniques that help Organizations align business goals to team execution.
Special Talk: Scaling Agile with Agile Portfolio Planning
In his session at Agile Coffee Talk, Sanjay Gupta will share insights on how Agile Portfolio Planning can help businesses in scaling Agiile across their organization. He will share how businesses can set strategic guidance and create organization alignment from strategy to product to delivery.
He will talk about capacity based portfolio planning and the way to implement the same. Based on the approach of Active Planning for Maximising Value, in Agile Portfolio Planning we frame the demand and supply question differently – rather than Desire Vs Capacity – We ask Desire Based on Capacity and hence maximizing value based on capacity. Desire comes from – Market, Executive, Product Managers based on vision and strategy of the organization prioritized in portfolio of items – capacity comes from teams (fixed) and programs (teams @ scale for governance) And Alignment between What We Want and What We can do is by answering that key question “Design Based on Capacity” and answering that question not one time but @ regular cadence.
